Giving back to their community, one shoe at a time

See what College students are doing to help the Mission Amarillo fight against homelessness and poverty.

CANYON, TEXAS -- West Texas A&M University students are setting out to change perspectives on social issues like homelessness and poverty. It's part of their 21 days of change. As part of that, Saturday students gathered up dozens of shoes to donate to Mission Amarillo, which benefits children living in affordable housing communities. Throughout the week, students, faculty, staff and those in the community have been bringing in new or gently used shoes to the Pedestrian Mall. Students collected a variety of shoes from athletic, dress, sandals and flip-flops.

Wanna check out some Flip Flops Shoes? I'm kind of partial Orange Flip Flops and Purple Flip Flops myself. :-)
